The present article pursues the development of Rawls’ theory of
justice from moral justice to political justice. Envolving Rawls's
theory of justice has two seminal stages. In the first, Rawls
introduces fundamental concepts such as social contract, original
position, and reflective equilibrium; these concepts have moralphilosophical
content. In the second, represented in his political
liberalism and justice as fairness, Rawls introduces concepts like
pluralism, well ordered society, public reason, and overlapping
consensus. Explicating these concepts makes it easy to realize that
how Ralws's theory is developed. Having discussed this
development, the article concludes that also the second stage of
Rawls’ theory has moral-philosophical content.
